Founder Story

From Necessity to Purpose

WIMP Network was born from experience, resilience, and vision.

I entered the manufacturing industry not as a career of choice, but as a necessity — seeking stability, opportunity, and a path forward. What I did not realize at the time was that manufacturing would become a place of transformation, leadership, and purpose.

As I navigated the industry, I quickly discovered that manufacturing is far more than the production floor. It is an industry filled with opportunities in leadership, quality, engineering, operations, compliance, supply chain, technology, and innovation.

Yet despite these opportunities, I noticed something deeply concerning:
there were very few women in manufacturing environments, and many of the women already in the industry had remained in the same positions for years without clear pathways for growth, mentorship, or leadership development.

I personally experienced the challenges of navigating the industry without guidance.
I had no mentor.
No roadmap.
No professional network to help me understand the possibilities available within manufacturing.

Through extensive research, continuous learning, certifications, and professional development, I began creating opportunities for myself. Along the way, I realized that access to information, mentorship, and career exposure can completely transform a person’s future.

That realization became the foundation for WIMP Network.

WIMP Network was created to empower women in manufacturing and production industries through mentorship, leadership development, career resources, education, networking, and community support.

Our mission is to bridge the gaps that prevent women from entering manufacturing as a career of choice and to support women already within the industry in pursuing advancement, leadership, financial growth, and long-term career success.

We believe women belong not only on the production floor, but also in leadership rooms, technical roles, executive positions, and decision-making spaces across industry.
